Beef & Beetroot Burger
Burgers are a big win all round and with the added Australian twist of juicy Golden Circle Beetroot, you won't be able to put this one down! Hearty and simple, this burger will satisfy lovers of genuinely wholesome tasting hamburgers and will be a crowd pleaser!
500g beef mince
½ onion, finely diced
2 tbsp HEINZ Tomato Ketchup
1 onion, cut into rings
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
4 lettuce leaves, rinsed
4 slices cheddar cheese
440g can GOLDEN CIRCLE Sliced Beetroot, drained
tomato relish, for serving
Place the beef mince, onion, egg and HEINZ ketchup in a bowl and season to taste. Mix until well combined. Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape into large patties about 1cm thick.
Heat a large non-stick frying pan or barbecue plate and lightly spray with oil. Cook burger patties over medium-high heat for 3 minutes each side or until cooked. Meanwhile, add onion rings to pan and cook tossing frequently for 4 minutes until lightly browned.
Assemble burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the base of each toasted bun. Top with a cheese slice, beef patty, GOLDEN CIRCLE Sliced Beetroot and cooked onions. Finish with a dollop of relish. Replace bun lid and serve immediately.
