Ingredients

  • 1kg rump steak
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup GOLDEN CIRCLE Pineapple Pieces
  • 1 cup GOLDEN CIRCLE Pineapple Juice
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sherry
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
  • 1 cup finely chopped shallots
  • ½ cup sliced red capsicum

Method

Cut steak into thin strips, fry in oil until brown. Add water, cornflour, sugar, salt, pineapple juice, vinegar, soy sauce to steak. Simmer 3 minutes. Add pineapple pieces, capsicum, shallots, ginger, sherry, simmer a further 10 minutes.

 

Serve with boiled rice. Serves about 5 people.
